About me

I offer clients therapy via Face-to-face and/or Zoom or WhatsApp.

I am an Integrative Transpersonal Therapist, who works in private clinical practice at Trust Therapy, East Sussex, and I am a Supervisor with CRUSE Bereavement Support (Hastings and Rother).

I have specialised in Bereavement as a Therapist for the NHS with St Michael's Hospice (St Leonards on sea), and I have experience in working with trauma, abuse, severe and enduring mental health, and Neurodiversity within my private clinic and at various organisations, including Butterflies Children’s Therapy, CRUSE Bereavement Support, JHD Counselling, Sensoft, and Place2B Children’s Mental Health Services.

At the core of my method is an assimilation between psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, and I offer the amalgamation of Psychotherapy and Analysis, Hypnotherapy, and Creative / Expressive Arts as therapeutic interventions, which are underpinned with a Jungian, psychoanalytic framework. For example, together we may consider dreams, stories and story-telling, creativity, play, visualisations, somatic (bodily) experiencing, breath work, plus, an exploration of metaphor and symbology, with a view to promoting a deepened sense of self, relational understanding, and healing, all of which contributes to the provision of individually tailored, jointly agreed, treatment.

Before practicing professionally as a Therapist, I worked for over 30-years in Education, and as an Actor and Director of Drama and Physical Theatre(s). I have experience of co-facilitating with the NHS on Stress Reduction courses and was awarded an International Certificate of recognition from LivingWorks, Canada, (July 2015) for my contributions to building Suicide-Safer Communities.

My areas of treatment include, but are not limited to, Anxiety, Depression, Phobias, Addictions, Panic Attacks, Trauma, Pain, Anger Management, Stress, Bereavement, Relationships, Low Self-Esteem and Confidence, and Enhancing Performance.

I am a Professionally Accredited member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, and I am fully insured and comply with professional supervision and data protection requirements.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

There is wheelchair access, however, this is particular to the size of chair. The consulting room has ground level access.
