About me
No matter what it is that has brought you here, well done for taking this courageous first step towards accessing support and promoting growth and understanding of yourself. Therapy can be life-changing and the most amazing investment for your future self. You deserve to thrive, not just survive, so let's see if we can work together to nurture your growth and unlock your potential.
Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming, and a space is needed to talk things through, gain some clarity, and explore what you need.
Sometimes, difficult past experiences, or current, stressful or upsetting life events, require this space for reflection, to allow you to emotionally process and come to terms with what has happened and to heal.
Sometimes, we just need to feel seen and heard, and to know that we can safely feel and then release those emotions or unexpressed words we are carrying around that might be weighing us down or blocking us from closure, or from what we want.
Your self-discovery, growth, and healing are our shared commitment, and I use all of my skills and knowledge to help you unravel issues, acknowledge and work through difficult emotions, and support you towards gaining clarity, and experiencing personal growth and change. Most of all, I make it my mission to create safety, and provide an empathetic, genuine, and non-judgemental space to support you throughout your journey.
Something I would like anyone who is looking to work with me to know, is that I am a warm and relational therapist, and I care deeply about my clients and the work we do together. I am human and I will see your humanity above everything else - it is safe to be yourself.
I understand the importance of choosing a therapist you can connect with, so I offer a free telephone call after an initial enquiry, to assess your therapy needs and to see how we could work together, so please reach out if you would like to set up a consultation.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Locations
Hull, HU8: For face-to-face sessions, I work from a comfortable and private, ground-floor therapy room (please see images provided), within a business centre on Holderness Road in Hull. Here, there is a small car park, nearby on-street parking, and the area is also served by a well-connected bus route. Complimentary bottled water, coffee, and a selection of teas are available to clients to enjoy throughout your session.
Online Therapy: I also work online nationally via a secure video-link. Having therapy online may be due to preference or convenience, and I am pleased to offer this to help you to build your therapy and self-care into your weekly schedule and to expand accessibility when life requires that bit more flexibility.
I currently have availability on Wednesdays and Fridays. Please enquire to see if I can meet your needs.
