About me
Hello, my name is Linda. I am a qualified, BACP-registered counsellor who offers a warm, compassionate, and supportive space for people going through difficult or overwhelming times in their lives.
Life can sometimes feel confusing, stressful or emotionally painful. During these times, it can help to have someone who will listen without judgment and support you in making sense of what you are experiencing. I believe that everyone deserves a safe place where they can speak openly and feel heard.
My aim is to provide a calm, confidential and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Together, we can work towards helping you understand yourself more deeply, develop coping strategies, and move towards greater emotional well-being.
Why Work with Me
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially when you may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or unsure about what you need. I approach my work with curiosity, empathy and respect, creating a space where you can feel safe to explore your experiences.
In our sessions, we may explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and past experiences to help you better understand what may be influencing your current difficulties. Through reflection and gentle exploration, counselling can help you recognise patterns, process emotions and discover new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
I work with a range of issues, including:
- Anxiety and stress
- Depression and low mood
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Relationship difficulties
- Domestic abuse or unhealthy relationships
- Trauma and emotional distress
- Bereavement and loss
- Life transitions and personal challenges
My goal is to support you in developing greater self-awareness, self-compassion and confidence so that you can move forward in a way that feels right for you.
How I Work
I offer a supportive, empathic and non-judgemental approach. I understand that every person is unique, so I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including:
- Person-Centred Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Psychodynamic approaches
- Transactional Analysis
- Solution-Focused Therapy
This flexible approach allows us to work in ways that best support you and your personal goals.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and meet weekly, providing a regular, consistent space for reflection and support.
Working Together
Starting counselling can feel daunting, but you do not have to face your challenges alone. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, understanding and a safe space where you can explore what is going on in your life.
You are welcome to come exactly as you are. Together we can work towards helping you feel more balanced, empowered and confident in making the changes you want in your life.
Invitation to Contact
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but it can also be the beginning of positive change.
If you would like to arrange an appointment or ask any questions, please feel free to contact me by email or phone. I aim to respond to enquiries within 48 hours.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
