About me

Sometimes, something just isn't right. You don't need to have the answers, or even be clear about what you need as, hopefully, you can put your trust in me and my 15 years of experience to help you. I have tried and tested  range of skills so I can fit best with you. I work with adults, young people from age 13 and with relationships dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, addictions, relationship issues, stress, as well as managing anger, panic, fear, trauma and child sexual abuse.

I have a particular interest in complex PTSD, ADHD and Autism.

Learn to understand yourself and develop different ways of being .

My comfortable and confidential therapy room is in my home in Dartford, Wilmington. Appointments can be made for various times of day across the week. My service is completely confidential and is focused on what you need as an individual without judgement and with respect.

Sessions last for 50 minutes and I can offer them weekly or fortnightly. You may wish to focus on an issue that can be worked with on a short term basis and open ended therapy is also available.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
