Lesley McGreavy - BSc, MBACP | Counselling Leeds & Otley
Life is rarely straightforward and I do recognise that there are times when we become unable to see a way through our difficulties. I am an experienced Counsellor seeing individual adult clients and couples.
You may have relationship issues with partners, friends or family; feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety or depression; or your confidence and self esteem are having a detrimental impact on your life.
Together we will explore your painful thoughts and feelings at a pace you feel comfortable with so you can consider new ways of relating and change can take place.
Engaging in this process and becoming truly in touch with your feelings, not only helps to heal the past, but also enables you to understand yourself better offering healthier and more fulfilling relationships with others which will sustain you in all aspects of your life.
Due to the Covid pandemic I am offering telephone or video platform sessions (via Zoom or WhatsApp as I have found these to be most secure).
I have a limited amount of ‘face to face’ sessions, following Covid safety measures and government guidelines, available to those who find it difficult or unsafe to speak in their own environment.
If you have any questions I would be happy to discuss them with you prior to making an appointment. Please call me on 07803 060215 or, if you prefer, send an email:
firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow a set of ethical principles and guidelines that underpin my practice. I maintain and enhance the quality of my work through regular supervision and continued professional development.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
