About me

Just so you know, the hardest part of seeking therapy is this bit, looking for and finding the right counsellor/therapist for you. It takes strength and courage to take that first step with counselling, I know, as I've been there, and know countless others who have as well.

So, now that you've got that bit out of the way, a bit about me and what to expect.

My name is Lee and I am a mental health counsellor based on the Wirral. I offer a safe space for you to explore, heal, and grow, through therapy sessions tailored to your unique needs and goals. I use evidence-based practices to support you and your mental well-being in a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard and empowered on your journey towards your mental health goals.

therapy allows you the safety and luxury to put yourself first and explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions; it can help you to put things into perspective and make positive changes to your life. Taking those next steps can often leave you feeling nervous and confused; but be assured that I endeavour to make the whole process as easy as possible for you.

I enjoy what I do and I like to keep things simple and relaxed. I can help you explore, uncover or make sense of issues you are experiencing, or what is not working in your life at the minute. Together, we can draw on your strengths, weaknesses, ideas and abilities to work towards you giving yourself the chance of making positive change in your life and reach your goal of happiness, whatever that is for you.

Please feel free to get in touch for a free, no obligation 30 minute chat, to ask any questions you might have, and to see if I am the right counsellor for you so that we can make a start on improving your mental health and wellbeing today

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
