About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck in life’s challenges? You don’t have to face this alone, and reaching out for support is the first step to recovery.
I can help with a range of difficulties, including, but not limited to:
Anxiety and stress
Depression and low mood
Relationship and family struggles
Self-esteem and confidence issues
Childhood trauma
Personal development and life transitions
Grief & loss
My approach is centred around you, meaning every session is focused on your unique goals, needs, and personal circumstances. I offer a confidential space in Southsea & Fareham where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I can help you build the tools and understanding you need to navigate life’s ups and downs, as well as building a greater understanding of yourself and your relationships. Our sessions can be a meaningful investment in your mental and emotional well-being—giving you the chance to create a more fulfilling and balanced life that is authentic to you.
Counselling can be challenging at times, but rest assured that each session will be a safe enough place, to explore and uncover patterns that can help you build clarity and understanding.
I am fully qualified and registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I always adhere to their guidelines around safe & ethical practice. In addition to my practice in Southsea & Fareham, I offer online and telephone sessions if that works better for you.
Taking the first step can feel daunting and you are welcome to reach out for a free 30-minute initial telephone consultation, to see if I am someone you can work with. Also feel free to email, text or whatsapp me with a general enquiry about my practice and availability.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a passion for working with parental and family abuse, those affected by another's addiction, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and neurodivergent clients.
My professional experience includes working in a specialised charity supporting survivors of sexual and domestic abuse, within a short term general counselling service, and also within the criminal justice system providing rehabilitative support.
My qualifications and experience have a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care and include:
- Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis (Distinction)
- Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
- Mental Health First Aid at work
- Samaritans Volunteer
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
