Hi and welcome. I imagine that you are looking for someone to talk to, who will listen and who isn't a family member or friend. I'll give you the space and time to talk freely about your thoughts, feelings, history and experiences. By doing this we may discover answers to who you truly are and how to become happier and more content in your life.
Type of Therapy
I am an integrative counsellor, meaning that I use a variety of modes of therapy to best serve you. I believe that you are the expert on your own life and so I will support you to explore yourself more deeply and identify the hurdles that stand between you and your goals and ideals.
Being listened to fully and wholly, without judgment is at the heart of my work and I use this as a foundation to support you to understand yourself. I have found that my personal approach has helped clients who have experienced various traumas, anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, have low self-esteem, experience self harm and suicidality, as well as those going through significant life changes. There is nothing that is not welcome in my therapy as I see this as your space to be supported while I help to untangle your inner world and find clarity.
I offer counselling to young people and adults online. I have vast experience working with young people as well a three years working with autistic young adults. I have worked in various settings including colleges, universities and residents settings. A lot of my work has focused on adverse life events and trauma.
Beginning the journey
If you are considering how counselling could help you or have any questions about the process then I offer a free 20 minute phone call. This is a time where we can discuss what brings you to counselling, I can help answer any questions you have and we can plan our work together.
I have availability for evening work to fit in with your schedule. Online and telephone sessions can also make finding time for your session easier, and with the benefit of being in the comfort of your own home. However, if you are only interested in face-to-face work, please do ask and this can be accommodated.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience working with a wide range of presentations some of which include, but are not limited to, personality disorders, OCD, childhood abuse, sexual violence survivors, social anxiety, low self esteem, domestic violence, self harm, suicidality, persistent anxiety, depression and eating disorders.
My career through various mental health settings has provided me with experience in the social care sector, charities, education, as well as private practice. I have experience working with young people and extensive experience within the area of trauma.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
