About me
Attending counselling for the first time can be a daunting prospect, you may fear that you may be seen as weak or unable to cope or may just not know what to expect. Here at Little Bird Talking Therapy we hope to allay these fears and provide you with a safe environment where you will be valued and accepted without fear of being judged.
Counselling provides you with the space to reflect on your situation with someone who is not personally involved and who does not judge or criticise; giving you the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings and in doing so find solutions that you are comfortable with.
I am a fully qualified and insured Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor along with being a member of the BACP (Registration No. 088994) and DBS checked providing sessions to both couples and individuals aged 16+. Along with my private practice I am a Counsellor at the University of South Wales, Time for Talking (EAP) and 2 Wish Upon a Star (Child/Young Person Bereavement Charity). I also provide group counselling sessions for organisations and educational institutions and run monthly support groups along with workshops promoting mental health.
I have extensive experience of working with clients with a number of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, self esteem, panic attacks, addictions, stress, bereavement, abuse and many others. I am also an Accredited Member of the Foundation for Infant Loss.
I am able to provide face to face, online (video/email/IM) and telephone counselling on a short or long term basis with each session being tailored to meet your individual needs. I have undertaken specific training to deliver online counselling and can provide a combination of both face to face and online/telephone sessions if needed. If you would like to discuss any queries or to book a session then please contact me either by phone or email using the details above.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
