About me

My Skills

I work as a Counselling Psychologist Doctorate specialising in integrative therapy for mind and body wellbeing. Since qualifying from the doctorate in Counselling Psychology 9 years ago, I have continued to work across a variety of settings ranging from community, private, inpatient and secondary care services.  I enjoy working with adults, using all of my training and experience to offer individualised care. I am also trained in energy healing- Master Reiki Healing and gentle touch body therapy- Craniosacral therapy.

What do I offer?

I have evolved my talking therapy to help with diverse issues. I mainly draw on scientific and spiritual knowledge, whilst enjoying weaving humanistic and third-wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapies to a) help someone understand the nature of the problem and b) help them develop strategies to overcome the issue they face. My style has been described as 'integrative, pluralistic and deeply compassionate'.

My experience of working in complex settings has meant that I am very used to offering relief and healing from trauma, whether that is from one-off trauma events or childhood attachment traumas. I have a somatic understanding of trauma and often use somatic movement theory and dance to help people ground themselves when needed/ or if preferred.  I also use a specific therapy for trauma, which is known as EMDR, (eye movement desensitising reprocessing) to work on the mental  beliefs and distortions caused through the experience of trauma.

In this tailored/individualised package, you will receive personalised resources so you have information to read and work on. You will also have an additional weekly in-between session check-in via a telephone call or Whatsapp call.
