About me
Are you struggling and have no one you can to turn to? Feeling emotionally overwhelmed, burnt out, or carrying more than you can manage on your own?
Perhaps you seem to be coping on the outside to others, but inside you feel drained, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of who you are or what you need.
I’m Lauren, a Psychotherapist & Counsellor offering a warm, confidential holding space where you can slow down, feel truly heard, and begin to make sense of what’s going on for you.
You don’t need to know where to begin or have a plan. We can explore together at your pace, comfortably and safely.
Life can feel demanding and confusing in many ways. You might be experiencing stress, burnout, or relationship difficulties, or navigating questions around your identity, self-worth, or sexuality. I offer a supportive, accepting, and non-judgemental holding space to explore these challenges and feelings at your own pace. Whatever brings you to counselling, you are welcome just as you are.
My approach is gentle, collaborative, and client-focused. I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to advise or fix, but to walk alongside you with empathy, authenticity, and genuine understanding. Together, we create space for reflection, clarity, and healing, helping you reconnect with yourself and what matters most, at a pace that feels right for you.
I know from my own personal experience how powerful it can be to be truly heard and understood, and this belief sits at the heart of my work.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, offering a professional, ethical, and confidential counselling service.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
