About me
Do you feel you need some support or someone to talk to? There are lots of reasons you might choose to come to therapy and here are some examples;
- You want more confidence
- You want to be more boundaried and stand up for yourself
- You want to speak up and express yourself more
- You're having problems in relationships with family members, often a parent
- You're having problems in romantic or sexual relationships
- You're having problems at work
- You're having problems with emotions (overwhelmed, blocked or bottled up)
- You want to understand the impact your childhood had on you and the person you are
- You want to talk through another part of your life
- You want to understand yourself and who you are
- You're suffering from anxiety or stress
- You feel depressed
- Unhelpful patterns or experiences keep repeating themselves
- You’re having trouble making a decision
- You want to get clearer on what you want in life
In therapy we're processing experiences, thoughts and feelings. We’re understanding more about how past experiences have shaped who we are and the lives we’re living. We’re making the unconscious, conscious and as a result we have greater awareness and therefore greater choice.
Sometimes you just want to talk something through and be listened to in a supportive, non-judgemental way. However, therapy also brings the possibility of change. It brings the opportunity to discover parts of ourselves we didn't know we had, parts which give us access to helpful resources and new ways of expressing. Through therapy we have the potential to develop new and more effective ways of being.
Training, qualifications & experience
I did a four-year course at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) where I attained my post-graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am now a registered member (MBACP) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
During my therapy training I also trained with The EFT Centre and am a qualified Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner, accredited and certified with EFT International.
I’m a transpersonal, integrative psychotherapist. Transpersonal means I look at the whole of you and integrative means I’m able to draw on many different therapeutic approaches in our work together. However, I’m also drawing from my own experience of some of the issues mentioned above. I’m not just relying on theory.
My main focus is to be present with you, listen and talk things through and that’s what we’ll spend most of our sessions doing. However, if you’re open to it, and it’s appropriate for you, there are a number of tools I might use such as visualisations or working with your dreams.
I'm also a qualified EFT practitioner and can bring EFT into the work if you would like. EFT involves tapping on the face and upper body and can reduce anxiety and negative emotions and help in many other ways.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Sessions can be face to face in Clapham Common (SW4) or online and are £55 an hour.
When you get in touch, I'll call you to find out more about the support you're looking for. We'll then have an initial session where I'll take a personal history from you and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. If we're both happy to proceed, we would agree a number of sessions to begin with, usually eight. These first eight sessions allow us to get to know each other, and start to explore what you have come to therapy for, after which we can both decide whether to continue our work together.
If we both decide to continue then the therapy becomes open ended and ongoing meaning you can leave when it feels right for you.
Sessions would take place on a weekly basis on the same day and time each week.
