About me

Hi, I’m Laura. I know that being human isn’t always easy—our thoughts and feelings can feel confusing, overwhelming, and at times, too much to carry alone. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, but it can also be the start of meaningful change.

I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be truly heard. Whether you’re feeling stuck, struggling to make sense of things, or simply need someone impartial to listen, I’m here to support you. Building a trusting, therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood.

I’m a fully qualified counsellor with a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling, and I am currently training towards a PGDip in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD). I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, either online or face-to-face, depending on what suits you best.

I have three years of experience working as a trauma therapist at The One to One Project in King's Lynn Norfolk supporting individuals who have suffered sexual abuse in both childhood and adulthood. Alongside this, I support clients in my private practice with a range of challenges including anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, OCD, grief, domestic abuse, difficult relationships, and trauma.

Whatever you’re going through, we can work together at your pace to help you find clarity, understanding, and a way forward.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
