About me
I work with parents who have found the emotional side of parenting harder than expected following a difficult or unexpected start.
This might include experiences such as neonatal care, medical complications, separation after birth, loss, or other early challenges. Some parents notice ongoing anxiety, feeling constantly on edge, intrusive memories, or a sense of being changed by what they went through - even months or years later.
These experiences can be especially difficult when others expect you to feel only relief or gratitude, while you are still carrying the emotional impact of your early parenting experience.
I work with parents who are navigating the emotional aftermath of a difficult start to parenting. This can include anxiety or trauma responses, difficulties with bonding or confidence, and experiences of loss or bereavement. For some, this involves the death of a baby. For others, it may be about grieving the pregnancy, birth, or early parenting experience they had hoped for, but did not have.
In therapy, I offer a calm, compassionate space to help you make sense of what you’ve been through and how it may still be affecting you. You don’t need a diagnosis, clear answers, or the “right words” - we can begin wherever you are.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Senior Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience in neonatal and perinatal settings and currently work within a London neonatal unit. Alongside my NHS role, I offer online therapy to UK-based parents, in line with professional and regulatory requirements.
I am trained and experienced in many different models of therapy, and will work with you to establish the most helpful course of therapy.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
