About me
Welcome! I'm Kris,
I’m delighted you are here, looking at my profile and considering us working together..
Finding the right therapist can feel daunting. You might not even be sure how to put into words what’s wrong - just that something doesn’t feel right. If that’s where you are, you’re not alone and I’m here to help.
I became a therapist after experiencing firsthand how beneficial and life-changing effective therapy can be.
They say you never ‘work’ a day in your life if you love what you do, and I certainly can agree with that. I feel privileged to work with every one of my clients.
I’m human like you and have experienced my fair share of life’s challenges, which impacted me both personally and professionally. This has helped shape my practice where you will be welcomed with genuine curiosity and empathy for your story.
I offer a calm, confidential, and accepting space where you don’t need to have everything figured out. We go at your pace, and we work together to make sense of what you’re experiencing. I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship we build feeling safe enough to be honest, curious, and sometimes vulnerable.
There will also be times where we smile, focus on the positives and we celebrate progress and breakthroughs.
My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I’m not the kind of therapist who sits quietly taking notes, we’ll have insightful interactions using tools and techniques, designed to promote meaningful and lasting change. I won’t tell you what you should do, Instead, our sessions will be interactive, and will support your journey of self-discovery, healing and growth.
Gently exploring what’s affecting you to unlock alternative, more balanced perspectives, healthier coping styles with increased resilience and self compassion.
I can work with your preference, face to face or virtual or a combination of both.
Ethical and inclusive practice is key to my approach and runs through every session to ensure you feel secure and safe throughout. Mutual Trust is paramount to an effective therapeutic relationship.
My main practice is built around CBT- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, however , I recognise other methods may be more suitable, and I integrate a range of other therapeutic approaches, always led by your needs.
CBT, as a talking therapy, is an effective, empowering, and well-evidenced approach that helps you to understand the influence that your thoughts have on your feelings and actions. We will work on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and works towards a more balanced way to approach whatever you have been finding a challenge. By helping you develop more effective coping skills, breaking unhelpful cycles, and providing you with a range of tools that can be used well beyond your therapy sessions to support ongoing self-resilience, and improved mental health.
People come to see me for many different reasons. You might be struggling with anxiety, feeling disconnected from yourself or others, repeating painful patterns in relationships, or carrying experiences from the past that still affect you now. Whatever it is, we’ll work on it together.
Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel heard, and develop techniques and a toolkit that supports you not just in sessions, but in everyday life, well beyond your therapy journey.
My aim is to help you feel more steady, empowered, and connected to your own strengths at a pace that feels safe for you.

Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) – Member No. 415707
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
