About me

Feeling overwhelmed and anxious ? Always putting others first ? Struggling to set healthy boundaries ?

I work with adults to build self-compassion by increasing awareness of how childhood experiences and core beliefs both positive and negative, impact our emotions, behaviours and relationships today.

Together we can uncover unhelpful patterns that may have served you well in the past but are holding you back now from living your life and having your needs meet in the present. Helping you create a healthier relationship with yourself and others.

Taking the first step to reach out can be difficult, so I want to reassure you that you will be met with a warm welcome and a calm supportive space.

Clients describe me as approachable and easy to talk to. I believe that a   strong, trusting therapeutic relationship  is key to helping you to begin to explore your emotions and experiences. I truly believe that you know the most about you, I will work with you at your pace to explore your journey that has led you to reach out for support at this time in your life.

As an Integrative Counsellor with a Person-centred  approach, I tailor our work to your unique  needs, working at your pace and what you choose to bring to your sessions. I will support you  with empathy and without judgement putting you at the centre of our work together where you will be seen and truly heard.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
