About me

I believe that therapy should feel like a conversation—one where you feel safe, heard, and never judged. At the core of my work is the person-centred approach, meaning you lead the way on what feels important to you. I will support you with empathy, honesty, and genuine care drawing from humanistic and integrative approaches, tailoring our sessions to suit your needs.

I know that opening up can be tough, and sometimes, finding the right words isn’t easy. That’s okay. There’s no pressure here—just a space where you can be yourself at your own pace. I also believe that therapy doesn’t have to be all heavy all the time. A sense of humour and a bit of lightness can be just as healing as the deep conversations.

I can help support you to navigate life’s many challenges, help you to build self awareness of your own patterns and those around you. Empowering you to take steps towards a life that feels more manageable and meaningful. I believe it’s also important to acknowledge that counselling isn’t always for those times of high stress or extreme emotional challenge. I can also provide a place to unpick uncertainty, to help you develop a sense of clarity when life is confusing and to embolden you to recognise your choices; moving towards what feels right for you.

I offer counselling face to face to Adults and young Adults 16+ in a beautiful garden room that has been created to provide a place to pause in what can often feel like chaos and constant movement.

I also offer counselling online and by phone.

I am fully insured and a registered member of the BACP. As a result my practice is grounded in the BACP ethical framework. It holds both myself and you as the client safely, ensuring you remain at the heart of every ethical decision I make within our work.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Training, qualifications & experience

Experience

Alongside my private practice I also work for a service providing counselling to Adults, young people and children. I support my clients with a range of emotional needs including anxiety, low self worth, depression and relationships.

Within this role I also work closely with clients with additional needs including Autism and ADHD. I help clients to explore the impact this can have, building understanding on how this shapes their world.

I will work with you to understand your specific needs whilst also recognising this can evolve. I hold awareness of this and endeavour to meet your changing needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
