About me
If you are looking for a therapist who values your individuality and works alongside you, I can offer a calm and supportive space where you can begin that work.
Therapy with me is not about putting you into a fixed model or rushing you toward quick solutions. It is about taking the time to understand you as a whole person, your thoughts, feelings, life experiences, and the behaviours that have shaped how you cope and connect with others.
I believe meaningful change happens when therapy feels safe, caring, and personal. We can work together at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what matters most in your life rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. My role is to listen with warmth and curiosity, and to help you make sense of what you are experiencing while supporting you to move forward in ways that feel manageable and lasting.
I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and counselling that can explore early life experiences and how they may influence current behaviours and relationships. These approaches can be used on their own or combined, depending on your needs and goals. Sessions are guided by proven therapy methods while remaining flexible and shaped around you. Together, we can work toward meaningful changes that continue beyond the therapy room.
Therapy is not only about easing distress or difficult emotions. It can also be about building a kinder, stronger relationship with yourself. I can support you in developing healthier ways of coping, building resilience, and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself. Over time, this can lead to greater confidence, emotional balance, and a clearer sense of direction in your life.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse, CBT therapist and counsellor with experience across forensic hospitals and community mental health services, including acute inpatient wards. I came to this field of work because early experiences showed me the impact of being overlooked; that history has shaped a clear purpose in my work today, to provide intentional, boundaried care and psychotherapy where people are understood, and dignity is upheld.
Over the years, I have facilitated groups and offered one-to-one therapy, integrating structured, evidence-based methods with a calm, compassionate presence. My practice is psychologically informed, culturally responsive and spiritually aware. When requested, sessions are delivered in person, remotely via secure video or telephone. Your values and goals are gently explored with practical interventions, balanced with in-depth reflection.
