About me
I'm a compassionate and approachable counselling psychotherapist, known for my deep empathy. I can provide you with one-on-one support in navigating various life challenges.
My approach to counselling is not one-size-fits-all. I adapt my support to suit each person's unique situation. Drawing from a wealth of personal and professional experiences, coupled with expertise in a wide array of counselling approaches, I ensure that the counselling journey is tailored to the specific needs of the individual(s) seeking help.
Whether you're seeking long-term counselling or just a few short-term sessions, I'm here to help. Get in touch to arrange an initial session to discuss what feels best, but remember, you are in control of our sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
With over 4 years of experience in practice, my therapeutic practice offers a safe, supportive and confidential haven for self-exploration and growth. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from not only a psychodynamic approach but also psychoanalytical, relational, person-centred, CBT, play and narrative therapeutic techniques to provide you with a unique tailored experience.
I work particularly closely with trauma specifically sexual trauma and racialised inter-generational trauma and the impact on our nervous systems and how this in turn impacts our attachment styles, relationships, self-worth, behaviours, physical health and identity. I can intertwine spirituality into my practice when requested by my clients, recognising the significance of an intercultural approach, particularly when working with Black and people of colour.
As well as a qualified psychotherapist I also have 9 years of experience in the mental health, human-trafficking, homelessness, domestic violence and housing sectors, providing intervention and well-being support.
My goal is to offer a diverse and culturally rich perspective to help you navigate life's challenges and achieve personal fulfilment.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation.
Your first therapy session and all following sessions will last 50 minutes.
Our initial sessions allows you to explore and share some of the presenting issues that have led you to seek therapy. It's a safe and non-judgmental space where you can open up about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as well as get a feel for my style of working and decide if I am a good fit for you.
I am here to support you in this process, helping you identify what areas of your life you might want to work on and improve. We will collaboratively set goals for our therapy journey based on your unique needs and aspirations.
