About me

I believe therapy should be a space where you can bring all of you, not just the parts that are easy to explain or make sense of.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what’s wrong, where it comes from, or what you want to change. Sometimes you might simply know that something doesn’t feel right, that you’re tired of feeling the way you do, or that you keep finding yourself in patterns you don’t quite understand.

I see myself as another human being walking alongside you, rather than someone who sits above you with all the answers. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to bring the training, curiosity and therapeutic skills to help you notice what might be sitting just outside your awareness, make sense of your experiences and explore what feels right for you.

I work collaboratively, with warmth, curiosity and compassion. We might look at relationships, childhood experiences, trauma or patterns that have developed over time, or explore identity, culture, belonging and the choices you’re facing. At other times, the work may be much more rooted in the here and now, noticing what you’re feeling, thinking or needing in the moment.

My approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Existential and Mindfulness-based approaches, alongside inner-child and compassionate reparenting work where it feels helpful.

I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” you. I believe we are never a finished product, we are constantly growing, learning and un-learning. Insight is an important part of that process, but I also want to help you turn that understanding into meaningful change, finding ways of relating to yourself, your relationships and your life that feel more authentic and sustainable.

I have a particular interest in supporting adults navigating relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-esteem, identity, cultural expectations, and the impact of childhood trauma.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come to therapy. You can simply start where you are, and i'll meet you there.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP-registered integrative counsellor with experience supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Alongside my private practice, I have worked within an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), a substance misuse charity, and a family support charity, providing therapeutic interventions to clients experiencing relationship and family difficulties, anxiety and depression, questions around identity, loss, workplace stress, burnout, trauma, and life transitions.

I hold a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Counselling from the University of East London and have completed additional training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

I am committed to ongoing professional development, regular clinical supervision, and practising in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

If you would like to have an informal conversation, get to know eachother, and find out if we'd be a good fit to work together, I offer a free consultation call.

If you decide to proceed with counselling the sessions last for a duration of 50 minutes, and occur on a weekly or fornightly basis. I offer open ended sessions to allow for flexibility, where we will review and monitor your therapeutic needs throughout. With that said I recommend a minimum of 8-12 sessions for continuity of care.

Session fees:

  • I offer Online sessions at £55 and In-person sessions at £65.
  • I feel it is important for counselling to be accessible. If you are on a low income, a student, or need a concessionary rate, please enquire as I might still have some slots open.
