About me

The idea of having counselling or receiving therapy might seem daunting at first, you may feel nervous, scared even, but I hope that once you discover that you are in a safe, confidential space, free to express yourself in which ever way you feel comfortable with, without judgment or consequence, then you will be able to receive the benefits of what counselling has to offer!

I have experience in working with University students offering short and long term work that's flexible to suit timetables.

I am a Qualified Therapeutic Counsellor. I am also a Registered Individual Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I offer confidential Counselling and Psychotherapy to Individuals, couples and companies and offer Support to Men, Women and Teenagers, from all walks of life and from many differing circumstances.

During my time as a counsellor, I have supported clients with an array of personal issues, these include; Work-Related Stress, Victims and Perpetrators Of all aspects of Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Addiction, Relationship Issues, Confidence, Self Esteem, Stress, Anger, Gender Dysphoria, Self Harm, Loss of Identity, Unemployment, Sexual Orientation, Illness and injury, Trauma and PTSD, Sleep conditions, such as Insomnia and sleep paralysis.

I use different styles, methods and techniques depending on what you require and feel comfortable with. I am adaptable to your needs and can be flexible as I understand the need for flexibility in todays world.

I feel my own very varied life experiences have given me the ability to understand and empathise with others in a very caring, empathetic and non-judgmental way.

But the proof is in the pudding as they say, so why not pop me an email and we can have a chat and see if I am the person you would like to share your time with.

Alternatively you can book straight into my diary for a free consultation. https://www.counsellingwithkelly.com/booking-calendar/free-no-obligation-online-meeting?referral=service_list_widget

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
