About me
Life can be overwhelming sometimes and things can go wrong despite our best intentions. Often we don’t notice when things start to build, or struggle to recognise what it is that is going on for us. It can be hard to switch off the critical voice inside which continues to chip away at our self worth. Sometimes it's easier to just ignore what you are feeling, grit your teeth and try to push through. And often we adopt coping strategies that feel comfortable but might be creating additional hurdles to climb.
My name is Katie, and I am a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist. I believe that different things work for different people, on different days.
We are always evolving which is why I maintain flexibility in my approach and adjust sessions to meet changing needs. You don’t have to be in a crisis to go to therapy, but it can lighten the load. The tiniest steps can lead to the most beautiful growth.
If you are feeling burnt out, lost, or detached from the way you would like to be, making the decision to stop, understand what is going on for you and practice self-care is a beautiful gift to yourself.
"There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn't"
