About me
You may be considering therapy because there are things about your life that you want to change. You may be experiencing conflict either with others or within yourself. Or perhaps you feel things are not right but you’re not really sure why. Whatever brings you to therapy, my role is to be alongside you on your therapy journey, creating space for you to explore whatever it is on your mind.
Based in West London, I offer one to one therapy online and in person. I am a qualified Humanistic Counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My approach to working with clients combines four key components:
- You are the expert in your life and know what you want to get out of therapy. You decide what you want to talk about in the session, and you retain responsibility for making your own decisions. This can sound daunting but I’ll be alongside you providing structure and continuity as and when you need it.
- The relationship between client and therapist is key to client outcomes. My focus especially in the early stages is on providing a space where you can feel comfortable enough to tell your story at your own pace and explore difficult feelings.
- Change happens when we understand and accept who we really are. I will work with you to increase your awareness of the experiences that have led you to where you are today. I will help you to identify patterns of behaviour that may be causing difficulties and to explore options that you identify.
- The importance of self-compassion. As we work through the issues you bring to the session, I will encourage you to treat yourself with kindness. I will work with you to notice if you talk about yourself in a critical way and support you to develop self-acceptance.
Working with clients, I draw on my background in community-based counselling services and over 20 years of volunteering for an emotional support charity. I have experience of a wide range of client issues including depression and anxiety, relationships, trauma, loss, relationships, self-esteem, imposter phenomenon, and shame.
If you are interested in finding out how we might work together, I offer a 30-minute online introduction session free of charge. You can also visit my website at www.lifespacetherapy.co.uk
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the Metanoia Institute qualifying in 2022 with a BSc in Humanistic Counselling.
I have been working with clients since 2020 firstly with community-based counselling services and latterly in private practice. Prior to becoming a counsellor I volunteered for more than 20 years with an emotional support charity providing support by telephone and email.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
