About me
My approach is holistic and trauma informed and I integrate somatic work, inner child work and energy therapies such as EFT tapping to help you reconnect with your body and your emotions. I am also solution focused offering practical tools for change to support you along the way.
We can work with whatever feels most relevant to you, whether this be intrusive and busy thoughts, overwhelming emotions, bodily sensations such as pain or the changes and challenges of life circumstances.
I bring a warm, grounded presence into the therapy room and where it feels right, a sense of humour and lightness too. Therapy does not have to be serious all the time. Sometimes a shared laugh or a moment of light relief is just as healing as tears. I aim to offer a space that is human, accepting and real.
We will work at your pace to build self awareness, resilience and a deeper understanding of self. Finding a way forward that feels right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an experienced integrative psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, coach and menopause wellness practitioner.
With 23 years experience of working for a large organisation supporting vulnerable young people and their families, as well as management roles, I bring empathy, depth and a real world understanding to my work with individuals facing stress, change and emotional challenges. I have supported school staff, employee assist organisations and charities such as CRUSE, Relate, Service 6 as well as my own private practice.
As a registered member of the BACP I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also attend regular supervision sessions to support the delivery of my practice.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer face to face, online and telephone counselling.
Online sessions are via Zoom.
Face to face sessions are from my private practice in Quinton, Northamptonshire.
I offer walk-and-talk therapy. This can take place from my practice where we have access to countryside and forestry or in a convenient green space near you.
I offer a 15 minute complimentary online or phone consultation to discuss what brings you to counselling, how I work and what you would like to achieve. It is an opportunity to see whether we would be able to work together and to answer any questions that you may have. There is no obligation to return.
If we both decide to work together then we would agree on a therapeutic contract. Subsequent sessions are usually 50 minutes weekly however we can discuss the length and frequency.
