About me
I am a qualified integrative counsellor offering short- and long-term therapy for adults, young people, and children, working privately in Cobham and remotely via online and telephone sessions.
I work integratively, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic, and acceptance-based approaches. This allows the work to remain flexible and responsive, shaped around each person’s individual needs, pace, and experiences. For children and young people, sessions may also include creative or play-based approaches to support expression and emotional understanding.
I founded Green Lane Counselling to offer therapy that looks beyond immediate relief, with an emphasis on deeper understanding and longer-term change.
Together, we will explore what has led you to seek therapy and what feels most difficult right now. This may include anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, school or life pressures, or patterns shaped by past experiences and relationships. Alongside developing understanding, we also consider practical ways of responding differently and supporting change that feels meaningful and sustainable over time.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have completed CPCAB Levels 1-4 in counselling, forming the foundation of my core training.
My work reflects current psychological thinking and contemporary therapeutic approaches. As a recently qualified practitioner, my practice is grounded in up-to-date research and evidence-informed work. I continue to develop my knowledge through ongoing study, including a psychology degree and CPCAB Level 5 training in counselling children and young people.
I work integratively, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic and acceptance-based approaches, and have also trained in mindfulness, which I incorporate where appropriate.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellot within both charitable and community settings, supporting adults and young people with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Before training as a counsellor, I completed a BA (Hons) in Classical Civilisation and Performing Arts, which continues to inform my interest in people’s experiences and stories. I have also worked in the corporate sector in London, which informs my understanding of pressure, responsibility and the demands of modern working life.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
