About me
Hello and welcome to my page
If you've found yourself here, you might be thinking about whether counselling could help - and just getting to this point is a really important step. It takes courage to reach out, and I want to reassure you that you don't have to face things alone.
My name is Kate, and I'm a pluralistic therapist, which means I believe that therapy should be as unique as you are. There's no 'one size fits all' when it comes to counselling. I work with each person to gently find an approach that feels right for them - drawing from a range of methods like Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and more.
The heart of my work is collaboration. We'll take this journey together, with kindness honestly and mutual respect - always moving at your pace, and always guided by what matters most to you. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, grieving or just not quite yourself, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore whatever you're carrying.
I work with individual adults, and I bring a warm, down-to-earth and non-judgemental approach to every session. I understand how complex and layered life can be, so I take a holistic view - honouring your values, your experiences, and the unique way your life has unfolded.
I am currently based online only and will deliver counselling sessions through telephone or video, whatever is best suited to you. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the ICO, which means your wellbeing, safety and confidentiality are always at the centre of my practice. I hold an enhanced DSB check and am committed to offering a safe, ethical and welcoming space for every client.
If something in this message speaks to you, I'd be honoured to hear from you. Whether you're ready to begin or just want to explore what counselling could offer, you are welcome here.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
