About me

Are you feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed? Finding it hard to find someone who listens without judgment? Have your emotional reactions surprised you?

I’m Kate, an integrative counsellor here to support you through a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, work problems, self-worth issues, low confidence, low self-esteem, relationship problems, conflict resolution, communication challenges, ADHD, autism, gender issues, family matters, addiction, alcoholism, perfectionism, self-criticism, shame, and negative thinking.

Whether you’re dealing with the aftermath of a separation, fearing a relationship breakdown, struggling to fit in at work, or facing anger issues, I’m here to help. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious about social activities, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or worried about self-harm. Perhaps you just feel like you want to disappear due to anxiety or other overwhelming emotions. I understand, and I’m here to support you.

Counselling saved my life, and this fuels my passion for helping others. In our first session, we’ll start with an assessment to understand what’s happening for you, especially focusing on how anxiety or other issues are affecting your life, and how I can help.

I provide a safe, confidential space where we can explore your difficulties together. As an integrative counsellor, I use a range of approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, and Gestalt therapies, tailored specifically to you.

You can expect a structured and honest approach, combining empathy, psychoeducation, and gentle challenges to bring unconscious patterns into your awareness. This can help you make meaningful changes in your life or foster greater self-acceptance.

If you have any questions or would like to book an assessment, please get in touch today. I look forward to working with you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
