About me
I bring compassion, an open mind, and respect to our work together, creating a supportive and collaborative space where we can begin to make meaning of your experience. As we reflect on your past and present, your relational patterns and your ways of being in the world, space can be created to process the thoughts and feelings that arise and to explore pathways toward positive change. I will support you in developing greater self-acceptance and self-compassion, encouraging an interest in your feelings in the present moment and in the truth of your immediate experience.
I work relationally, whereby the relationship we develop together is key to therapeutic change. I approach each piece of work with genuine interest and commitment, facilitating self-exploration and greater self-awareness, enabling you to ultimately know and trust yourself more.
Through this process, therapy can help you to work through your difficulties, review your challenges and your strengths, and feel more connected, allowing for a greater sense of freedom in everyday life.
I am an integratively trained UKCP psychotherapeutic counsellor, drawing on a range of theories and approaches to support clients with diverse needs and experiences. I welcome the spectrum of difference and individuality that each person brings to therapy.
I see clients weekly in-person, short-term and long-term.
An initial session is offered with no fee for you to find out more about the way I work, explore what you are looking for in therapy and see if we are a good fit.
Please contact me with any questions, I answer all enquiries promptly. We can arrange a 20 min phonecall if you prefer in the first instance.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
I work relationally, drawing from psychodynamic and humanistic theory, integrating developmental & attachment theories as ways of understanding relational patterns, unconscious processes, and how the past informs the present.
An overarching approach of mindful awareness encourages presence and greater self-acceptance and compassion, paying attention to immediate embodied experience, or 'felt sense', and supporting natural, intuitive change.
If you would like to discuss any of these ideas and approaches further please do get in touch.
