About me

Hello, I'm Karolina, and I offer a warm and creative space for counselling and psychotherapy. Located in the Reading area, I provide both short-term support and longer-term therapy, and I'm happy to connect with you either in person or online.

Feeling good is something you truly deserve. I have a deep belief that everyone deserves to heal and live in line with their values. So often, the difficulties we experience are a result of our life experiences, not because anything is wrong with us.

My approach: Bespoke counselling tailored to you

Because I know that each person is unique, I offer an integrative approach to our counselling work together. This means I draw from different therapeutic models to ensure our sessions are tailored to your specific needs. Some of the ways we might work together include:

Person-Centred Therapy: I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.

Psychodynamic Approach: Sometimes, understanding where our current difficulties come from can be helpful in healing. Together, we can gently explore how past experiences might be influencing what you're going through now.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Our minds can sometimes get caught in unhelpful patterns. I use CBT techniques to help you gently notice and reframe any negative thoughts.

Creative and Somatic Approaches: We can also explore creative tools and ways of connecting with your mind and body to deepen your self-awareness and process emotions in a way that feels comfortable and right for you.

If you choose to work with me, you can look forward to:

  • A safe, confidential, and unbiased space where you can feel fully accepted.
  • A supportive therapeutic relationship where your needs and goals are always the focus.
  • An approach that respects your unique experiences and perspective.
  • Gentle support in nurturing your overall wellbeing and navigating any specific challenges you're facing.

If you're considering taking a step towards a more fulfilling life, I'd be happy to help.

Please feel welcome to contact me today for an initial conversation to explore how I might be able to help you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
