About me

Sometimes life feels heavy, confusing, or lonely, and it takes courage to reach out for support. As a counsellor, I offer a space where you don’t have to hold everything together or figure it all out alone. My approach is gentle, human, and centred on you, who you are, what you feel, and what matters most to you right now.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, isolation, loneliness, poverty trauma, loss, relationships, self-worth, and those quiet moments of change that often go unseen. I believe healing begins when we feel truly heard, not judged or fixed, but understood. In our sessions, I’ll walk alongside you with curiosity, warmth, and honesty, helping you reconnect with your own strengths and sense of meaning.

Many of the people I work with come to counselling feeling stuck, unheard, or uncertain about who they are becoming. I offer a calm, confidential space where you can speak freely and begin to make sense of your thoughts and emotions. My approach is person-centred and grounded in empathy, built around the belief that real change happens when we feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on inside.

Together, we’ll slow down and gently uncover patterns, unspoken feelings, and unmet needs. I don’t offer quick fixes or ready-made answers, but I do offer presence, honesty, and genuine care as you start to find your own way forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and I am currently completing a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, which I am due to complete in June 2026. I am a BACP-registered counsellor and work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.

My training is rooted in Person-Centred counselling, with an integrated Psychodynamic approach. This allows me to work both with present-day difficulties and, where appropriate, to explore how early experiences and unconscious relational patterns may be influencing current emotional and relational challenges.

I work in a trauma-informed and attachment-aware way, recognising the impact of relational trauma, loss, emotional neglect and attachment wounds on emotional wellbeing, self-esteem and relationships.

I receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with BACP requirements, and I am committed to ongoing professional development, reflective practice and ethical working.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
