About me

Hi, I’m Kas. I help people make sense of their anxiety by looking at the whole picture - what shaped you, what you're carrying now, and what you want your life to be.

I work as a psychotherapist. 'Prof. Dip Psy C, MNCPS Accred Counselling and Psychotherapy' - means that I have a professional diploma in counselling and psychotherapy, and that I am accredited by the NCPS.

My work brings together past to present understanding, nervous system regulation, and support with direction when everything feels overwhelming. I have particular experience working with people in the entertainment and creative industries, including cast, crew, and performers - where pressure, uncertainty, and visibility can quietly take a toll.

You don’t need to be in crisis to get in touch. Sometimes it’s about having a steady place where you can slow down, untangle what’s happening inside, and feel more grounded in yourself again.

How I work
I’m a pluralistic and trauma informed therapist, which means I draw from a range of approaches depending on what supports you best. This keeps your experience at the centre of our work.

I integrate:

  • Psychodynamic therapy to explore past patterns and the unconscious
  • Person-centred practice for active, empathic listening and emotional expression
  • CBT-informed methods for practical support with thoughts, feelings and behaviours
  • Nervous system regulation to help calm overwhelm, stress and freeze responses
  • A holistic viewpoint, acknowledging mind, body and the subtler intuitive signals that shape how we feel

Our work is longer term and weekly, especially at the start. This is a steadier pace than “tips and tricks” or quick fixes - we’re aiming for meaningful, lasting change that settles into your life rather than fading after a few weeks. Sometimes I may offer reflections or small practices between sessions, this can help greatly with the work, but the choice is always yours.

I’m open to creative ways of working - through art, reflection, nature or simply talking - depending on what feels most natural for you.

What we can explore together

You might arrive with a clear issue, or with nothing more than a sense that something isn’t right. Both are welcome.

No topic is off limits. We develop an honest, respectful working relationship, and everything we discuss remains confidential.

My background

I’ve worked across a range of industries over the last 35 years and understand the psychological impact of long hours, shifting demands, and sustained external pressure. In my late forties, I also bring a lived understanding of how life transitions and hormonal changes can intensify anxiety, exhaustion, or emotional overwhelm.

I have particular experience working within the creative and entertainment industries, where pressure, visibility, irregular work, and unspoken expectations can leave little room to pause or reflect. My work is confidential and grounded in the understanding that privacy and trust are essential for meaningful therapy.

The way we work together depends on what you need. Some people come for shorter term support during demanding periods or key transitions, to regain clarity, steadiness, and perspective. Others choose to work more openly over time, exploring deeper patterns and questions of direction. I typically offer weekly therapy at a pace that is sustainable, whether our work is brief or ongoing.

Therapy with me is depth oriented - we step out of roles and expectations to understand what is happening beneath them, and to support change that is realistic, grounded, and lasting.

I work pluralistically, drawing from established psychotherapeutic approaches. I pay attention to thoughts and emotions, the body and nervous system, and the quieter signals that point towards unmet needs or unresolved tensions. Together, we look at past experience, present pressures, and future direction to support change that feels both meaningful and workable.

Where and how we meet

  • In person in my therapy room in Haddenham (HP17) wheelchair accessible
  • Online via video
  • Studio/On Set by prior arrangement
  • I currently work predominantly with weekly sessions.

Inclusivity

My practice is a safe, inclusive space for people from all backgrounds, identities and experiences. I won’t know everything about your world, but I’m open, respectful and committed to learning from you.

If you ever feel medical support is needed, please speak to your GP. For urgent mental health help, please use NHS crisis services or Samaritans.

Getting in touch

You’re welcome to email me to arrange a free 25 minute exploratory call to see whether we’d work well together. There’s no pressure to commit.

I mostly respond to emails Tuesday - Friday (excluding weekends and holidays). Email is usually the best way to reach me, as my phone is off during sessions and texts don’t always come through reliably.

I look forward to hearing from you,
Kas

The sessions do not go over the agreed time (60 or 90mins) unless previously agreed. We will review sessions occasionally to see if we are working towards achievable goals.
