About me

I am a qualified Counsellor and Registered Member of the BACP, currently working in private practice and within a local counselling agency supporting adults and young people.

I have experience supporting a diverse range of clients as they navigate the challenging aspects of their lives that can be difficult to face alone. I am passionate about counselling and the benefits it can bring to our lives.

If you're currently finding things difficult, whether that's due to recent events or past experiences, please know you are not alone. Counselling can offer valuable support during these times and I can provide a non-judgmental, confidential environment where you can openly discuss your concerns and explore your thoughts and feelings. It can be hard and even a bit scary reaching out for support, especially if you’re doing it for the first time. I can offer warmth and empathy and hope to build a trusting therapeutic relationship through our work together, where you feel safe and heard.

If you would like to explore the possibility of working together, please reach out to me via email, and I will be happy to arrange a free 20 minute call at a time that works for both of us.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I continue to develop myself through attending regular CPD. I receive monthly supervision to ensure my practice is ethical, safe and is of high standard. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

I am also committed to professional growth and development through regular participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training events and receive monthly supervision to maintain the highest standards in my practice. Additionally, I am an active member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
