About me
When we feel lost, stuck, or uncertain for an extended period, pausing and taking the time to understand ourselves can help us find clarity and direction. But sometimes self-exploration is challenging to navigate alone. I offer a safe, supportive environment to work with you in this process. I listen deeply and ask gentle and thoughtful questions that may encourage you to reflect and help you see yourself and your situation from different perspectives.
I have been interested in existential questions and the nature of humans from a young age, which led me to study philosophy and, later, counselling. My training in Pluralistic Counselling offers a wide range of approaches we can use together, depending on your needs at any given time. Person-centred, psychodynamic and existential therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness and narrative therapy are examples of the methods I often incorporate.
While we can draw from a range of modalities, in my experience, an authentic relationship between client and counsellor is always the foundation of successful therapy. The main building blocks I bring to our work together are unconditional respect and a deep curiosity about who you are and what you would like to change in your life. In turn, I encourage you to bring an openness to share your thoughts and feelings and a willingness to collaborate. While you are the expert on your own life, together we can explore and reveal new possibilities.
Training, qualifications & experience
I worked as a counsellor for home carers for a year and have been supporting survivors of sexual abuse ever since completing my degree. During this time, I have gained considerable experience supporting people struggling with PTSD and C-PTSD, flashbacks, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, addiction, anxiety, depression, abusive relationships, and sexual, emotional, and physical abuse. I have also worked with individuals dealing with relational problems, low self-worth, isolation, loneliness, low motivation, self-sabotage, identity issues, and more.
While I have an extensive knowledge of sexual trauma, childhood sexual abuse, PTSD and CPTSD, I do work with a wide range of issues in a trauma-informed way.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
