MBACP | Support in times of loss, change and uncertainty

About me

You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck, perhaps after a loss or during a period of change. I offer counselling for people navigating these experiences, including bereavement and life transitions. I work in person in Angel, Islington and Stoke Newington as well as online.

I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what has led you to seek therapy and begin to make sense of what you are going through. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt my work to you as we get to know each other. It's important that you feel heard, understood, and supported. We will go at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you, whether that involves exploring past experiences or working with what’s happening in the present. Clients often find that counselling offers space to make sense of these experiences and move forward with greater understanding and self-compassion.

If you’re considering counselling and wondering whether it could help, I offer a free initial phone conversation to see whether working together feels right.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an Advanced Professional Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have experience working across a range of counselling services, offering both long-term counselling and shorter, bereavement-focused support. Alongside my private practice, I work at a local bereavement service.

I have a particular interest in supporting people who are navigating challenges around parenthood, including those who have experienced difficult or unexpected journeys to becoming a parent and those who find themselves childless not by choice. This may involve feelings of anxiety, grief, loss, or uncertainty about identity and relationships.

I am an accredited practitioner with the Foundation for Infant Loss and hold their Infertility and Rainbow Baby Specialist certificates. I undertake regular professional development to support my ongoing learning and to ensure my practice remains responsive to the needs of my clients.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
