About me

I am an experienced psychotherapist and performance coach, with nearly 10 years of clinical experience and 15 years working within mental health settings. I have built a reputation for empowering clients to overcome adverse life experiences and mental health challenges.

The key to this success is seeing the individual as a sum of their experiences, rather than a series of unpleasant symptoms. I am solution focused, which entails getting to the heart of the issues clients contend with, identifying root-causes and bringing about lasting change. I am an expert at helping clients identify important areas for change, and utilising internal and external resources already available to them, to enhance their sense of control, purpose and daily functioning; fostering lasting change and personal growth.

My approach focuses on helping individuals learn from their experiences, enabling them to build resilience and thrive. I have worked with a range of demographics, having trained and practiced in the NHS and more recently, exclusively running a private practice. This diverse experience has allowed me to develop a flexible, client-centered approach, drawing from evidence-based techniques & modalities to best support each unique individual.

As part of my ongoing commitment to providing the highest standard of care, I regularly update my clinical skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). I am trained in a range of therapeutic modalities. I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), integrating principles of Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness and motivational interviewing. I am qualified as a personal performance/ life coach to facilitate personal development, career growth and life-mapping as part of a solution focused and strength-based brief intervention. As such I am well equipped to address a broad spectrum of difficulties.

I am specialised in treating common mental health difficulties, including;

Anxiety presentations (OCD, social anxiety, health anxiety, generalised anxiety, phobias, etc.), depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, trauma, anger management, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, work-related stress, burnout, discrimination, imposter syndrome, addictions, self-criticism and negative thinking, amongst others.

Whether working with those seeking to overcome mental health challenges or those striving for peak performance, I bring a wealth of experience and a compassionate, results-driven approach to my work.
