About me

Many people come to therapy because they feel alone in their struggles. Maybe there’s something you need to say, but it feels difficult - even impossible - to articulate. You might not even fully know what it is yet. I will be alongside you as you begin to express those thoughts, memories, or emotions that may feel shadowy or confusing. Many of my clients are men who feel overwhelmed by the pressures of modern life and perhaps feel a lack of control or self-esteem. I work with statistically-proven methods that will help you to feel less pain, to see yourself more clearly, and to grow and to thrive.

Therapy can be a space where you safely explore, reflect, and experiment with new ways of relating - to yourself and to others. It can act as a testing ground for life outside the therapy room, helping you notice patterns as they unfold, make peace with difficult emotions, and feel less consumed by them.

The relationship in therapy is an important part of the healing process. I don’t believe in being a passive onlooker - I want our sessions to be experiences you can get lost in. Led by you, but shaped together, this work can help repair painful past experiences and build a deeper sense of connection.

Our work might involve exploring different parts of yourself, understanding where they came from, and discovering what they need. At its heart, therapy is about compassion: softening your inner critic, learning to forgive yourself, and offering yourself the kindness you deserve.

While my approach is tailored to you, it is grounded in certain core beliefs. I offer professionalism, reliability, warmth, non-judgment, and deep curiosity in pursuit of truth. I will listen with care, but I may also gently challenge when needed - always in the service of your wellbeing.

Led by you, but shaped together, this work can help repair painful past experiences and build a deeper sense of connection. If you're ready to take the next step, I’d love to hear from you. I respond quickly and clearly to enquiries because I know how overwhelming finding the right therapist can feel.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the CPPD school in north London. My training is humanistic and integrative, drawing from (among others) psychodynamic therapy, transactional analysis, inner-child work and CBT. This blended approach fosters lasting change by combining deep emotional exploration with practical techniques, helping you gain insight, process past experiences, and cultivate a greater sense of autonomy in your life.

I work voluntarily with Southeast London Mind. I've worked in placement for a wide range of low-cost and mental health services. I am BACP-registered and follow their ethical framework. I have an enhanced DBS certificate.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
