Training, qualifications & experience
As a fully trained Counselling Practitioner, with experience working in social care and the NHS I have experience of dealing with clients diagnosed with a wide variety conditions, such as; personality disorders, attachment disorders, ADHD and Autism. I have experience in working with clients presenting with depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues, historical abuse, stress, self-esteem and low confidence.
I currently work on a part-time basis as HE lecturer for counselling, and have provided ad-hoc presentations on mental health and counselling topics to such organisations as McMillan Wellbeing and Student Support Services at Stockport College. I am also engaged as the manager for a therapeutic model for young people, in care, with emotional and behavioural disorders.
