About me
I am a person-centred counsellor who believes that being real sits at the heart of meaningful change-not just in therapy, but in life.
I retrained as a counsellor at 35, which means I truly live by the belief that it is never too late to change direction or start again. Self-awareness is a lifelong practice for me, and I know first-hand what it feels like to sit in the client's chair. That experience shapes how I work: with empathy, openness, and deep respect for your story.
I am a single mum of two daughters, a lover of music, books, TV, film, theatre and importantly) delicious food. Nature is my daily fix and probably my greatest love - it keeps me grounded, reminds me to breathe, it provides a deep perspective of embracing change. I also love my own company and value the space that allows reflection and growth.
Playfulness is a genuine part of who I am, and something I am never embarrassed to embrace. Therapy does not have to feel stiff or clinical- it can be curious, warm, and even creative, while still holding the depth and care your experiences deserve.
I was diagnosed later in life with ADHD and PMDD, which has deepened my understanding of how complex, nuanced, and individual our inner worlds can be. It is another reason I work in a way that centres you -your pace, your needs, your reality.
At the centre of my practice is the belief that when you are met with honesty, compassion and acceptance, real change becomes possible.
