About me

Counselling can offer a safe space for you to explore such difficult, sometimes painful, issues that may be affecting you. An hour to talk, or to sit and 'just be' can be hugely beneficial to one's wellbeing.

I offer both long and short term counselling and psychotherapy tailor-made to you. I take the best and most helpful interventions and philosophies from a variety of approaches, known as integrative counselling, and I can support you in finding helpful ways to work through the challenges you may be facing in life.

As a counsellor, I do not give advice; I provide a safe and confidential space where I can support you in exploring thoughts and feelings in greater depth. The counselling process is a journey of self-awareness and discovery.

I have dealt with a wide range of personal and relationship issues. These include:

  • stress and anxiety

  • feelings of sadness and depression

  • panic attacks

  • low self-esteem

  • addiction

I work in a down to earth, compassionate manner offering empathy and support along the way.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and attained a BA Hons degree from Middlesex University. Throughout my training I attended weekly personal therapy where I was able to explore my own issues and experience what it is like to be ‘the client’.

I have worked in various settings as a counsellor including the NHS and for a charity which provides a specialist counselling service for people with addiction issues, their families and carers.  I also volunteered as a child counsellor for the leading national children’s charity Place2be counselling primary school children.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and am qualified to practice as a counsellor and Psychotherapist with adults, young people and children.

My fees are £45 per session payable at the beginning of each appointment by cash or cheque.  Should you need to cancel an appointment, I require at least 48 hours’ notice.

I believe that counselling should be available to all, therefore, I am happy to offer a concessionary rate for those on a low income. Please ask for more details of these rates.
