About me

Hi, I’m Jess!, I’m an Integrative Counsellor,  meaning I blend a variety of techniques such as person centred, psychodynamic ,transactional analysis and CBT . I offer a warm and compassionate environment for you to bring what you need to the table and unpack it at your pace. I work in a collaborative way - I believe that a therapist who meets you half way, is part of meaningful effective therapy. I also work with somatic approaches to therapy which can include but isnt limited to - grounding techniques, EFT tapping and breathwork.

Areas of interest - I work with a range of issues such as Anxiety, depression, body image, self esteem, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, family issues and emotional abuse. I also work closely with those who have developed phobias around work or school, possibly due to bullying or lack of confidence. I'm a neurodivergent therapist and I work closely with neurodivergent clients, understanding their unique view on the world.

You may be finding life more stressful at the moment, struggling with stress or relationships, maybe something has cropped up from the past that needs working through. I know therapy can seem an overwhelming thought at times, but my aim is to show you it can be a space to breath, re-connect with yourself and move forwards in a meaningful way. I hope to show you a safe space, where authenticity is welcomed and championed. I currently hold sessions online or offer walk and talk therapy within the SE21 area.

Get in touch -  If you’d like to know more about the way we could work together, please send an email and I’ll be back with you shortly.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
