About me

Due to house renovations, I am only able to conduct online sessions at this time.

I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. My approach is primarily person-centred, meaning I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe that each individual has an inherent capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to support and facilitate that process.

Alongside this, I integrate analytic thinking into my work, helping clients to develop a deeper understanding of unconscious patterns, past experiences, and relational dynamics that may be influencing present difficulties. This can be particularly helpful for those who feel “stuck” or notice recurring themes in their lives.

I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that supports individuals in processing traumatic or distressing experiences. EMDR can be beneficial for a range of difficulties, including trauma, anxiety, and intrusive memories, helping to reduce emotional intensity and support adaptive resolution.

I work with a wide range of issues, including addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and issues related to identity, self-worth, and emotional regulation. My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual, ensuring that therapy is aligned with your unique needs and goals.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified psychotherapist with experience working with adults in both individual and group settings. My clinical work has primarily been within residential rehabilitation services, supporting individuals experiencing addiction, mental health difficulties, and complex emotional needs.

I have delivered structured therapeutic programmes within multidisciplinary teams, including facilitating group therapy focused on emotional processing, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, and interpersonal development. I have also conducted comprehensive assessments, developed personalised treatment plans, and supported clients through all stages of the recovery process, from early stabilisation through to aftercare.

My training includes person-centred therapy, analytic approaches, CBT, and EMDR, allowing me to work in an integrative and flexible way. I have particular experience supporting clients with substance misuse, trauma, grief and loss, and difficulties related to identity, shame, and self-esteem.

In addition to clinical practice, I have experience coordinating treatment programmes and supporting team operations within a residential setting, which has strengthened my understanding of holistic care and the importance of a consistent therapeutic environment.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and clinical supervision to ensure that my work remains ethical, reflective, and responsive to the needs of my clients.

I have worked across the UK, Europe and Asia, working with a wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
