About me
Hi there! Thank you for stopping by my profile. My name is Jess, and it is a pleasure to meet you. I am here to offer you a safe, confidential space to explore yourself , your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and help work towards your goals; whatever they may be. No matter what is going on for you right now, there are ways forward, and I believe we can find them together. I like to offer my clients hope, that things can be different, that together we can bring about the changes you want to see , and when you're out of hope, you can borrow mine for a while.
I offer therapy using a wide range of techniques and tools to help you work through difficult emotions, troubling behaviours or periods of transition in your life. My work as a special needs teacher, lecturer and counsellor means I have developed great experience of developmental disorders, addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety and personality disorders.
I am empathetic and non-judgemental with a wide range of experience both personal and professional of mental health issues and life events that can be difficult to deal with on our own. I pride myself on building a relationship of trust and care to support you in making changes towards getting back to YOU. Please get in touch today to start that journey.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a wide range of experience of mental health conditions and presenting issues. I have worked in the addictions field and have had the privilege of seeing many clients achieve their goals, as well as working extensively with trauma, relationship issues and self esteem.
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, as well as a certificate from SAAC in Behaviour Change.

Further information
I work mostly with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety or trauma related to their relationships or family. We will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
I utilise integrative therapy to ensure that a wide range of theories and tools can be incorporated from multiple schools of thought to best suit your individual needs at the time. I often use elements of CBT, internal family systems and person centred interventions in my work.
