About me
I’m Jess, an integrative therapist based in Northwich, working with individuals and couples. I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where we can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. My integrative approach means I draw on different therapeutic models, tailoring our work to your needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
I have a particular interest in supporting people with relationship difficulties, conflict, communication challenges, intimacy issues, and bereavement. Whether you’re working through something specific or have a general sense that things don’t feel quite right, we can gently explore this together.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting. My aim is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported at your own pace, with zero pressure. I work in an open-minded, down-to-earth way, and no topic is taboo — nothing is too much, too uncomfortable, or off-limits. You don’t need to filter yourself or find the “right words”. You’re welcome to speak freely, be honest, and express yourself in whatever way feels natural to you.
Sessions are available in person, online, by phone, or via text — whatever feels most comfortable for you. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is key, so I offer a free initial chat to help you decide if I’m the right fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, with specialist training in working with children and supporting relationship dynamics across individuals, couples, and families.
I have additional training in suicide prevention and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
I spent two years providing counselling in a hospital setting with Macmillan Cancer Support, supporting individuals and their families through grief, end-of-life issues, trauma, emotional distress, and significant life changes.
I run my own private counselling practice, offering a supportive and thoughtful space for clients to explore what matters most to them.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
