About me
Hi, I'm Jess and I am qualified as a Pluralistic Counsellor. This means I can incorporate the tools and strategies from CBT, Humanistic and Psychodynamic Counselling. Together, these equip me to adapt to any concern or challenge you may wish to bring to sessions.
I work with all ages and offer in-person counselling as well as online.
If being in nature is something that would suit you better then I offer a service of walking and talking, where we can hold our sessions outside in the countryside whilst on a walk together. There is always the option to sit in my garden as well.
For younger clients, I can also offer Drawing and Talking or art based sessions. Outdoor sessions are also available for younger clients.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked with young people for most of my 20 year career.
More recently I have begun to work with adults which has included time in a hospice as part of the counselling team.
I am qualified to work in all areas of life that can pose challenges or concerns; whether this may be general anxiety, relationship issues, facing significant decision or changes in circumstances, addiction, phobias or feeling generally low or overwhelmed. I am willing to work on any challenge you may be facing.
Additionally I have specific training in Drawing and Talking, bereavement support and end of life counselling.
