About me

You may be struggling with anxiety that feels constant, exhausting, or hard to switch off or finding that worries and overthinking are affecting your confidence, sleep, or relationships.
You may also be experiencing relationship difficulties, such as ongoing conflict, emotional distance, loss of trust, or feeling unheard or misunderstood by your partner.
I am an experienced counsellor specialising in relationship counselling and anxiety, working with both individuals and couples. I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where we can slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and begin to create meaningful change.
My work is integrative and relational, meaning I tailor therapy to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. With anxiety, I help clients understand the patterns that keep worry going, develop ways to feel calmer and more grounded, and build confidence in managing difficult thoughts and feelings. In relationship work, I support clients and couples to understand unhelpful dynamics, improve communication, and rebuild emotional connection.

Often, anxiety and relationship difficulties are closely linked. We may explore how past experiences, attachment patterns, or life stressors are influencing how you feel and relate today  always at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

I offer face-to-face counselling in Aberdeen city centre and online sessions.

My First Session
I offer a free initial consultation, typically a 10- 15 minute phone or Zoom call. This is an opportunity for me to share more about what counselling entails and for you to ask any questions you may have.

If you decide to proceed, we can schedule an initial session. This session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at the same rate as subsequent sessions. During this time, we will get to know each other and explore what working together feels like. It’s an opportunity for you to share what you’re seeking from counselling and to ask questions about my approach. At the end of this session, we can discuss the next steps and what feels most beneficial for your journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
