About me
If you are finding life hard and confusing, or struggling with pain from the past, taking this first step is the start of finding your way forward. Talking to an impartial, supportive and non-judgemental counsellor provides a safe place to unload and explore what is troubling you.
I am an experienced integrative counsellor working with all ages from 11 upwards. This means we work together to understand how things feel for you, exploring relationships and life situations that are impacting on your life. We could explore your feelings in the present and how these may be related to your experiences in the past, but what we talk about is always up to you.
I also work with couples and those with relationship concerns they would like to talk about. This can be couples who are married or in a romantic relation of any type, or a parent and child (over 12), or siblings.
I have a special interest in performance anxiety having worked in the Arts and seen the effects of performance related anxiety and pressure particularly on gifted children and young people. Stress and anxiety around performance in dance, theatre, sport, exams, giving presentations and speeches, as well as music performance, can result in lifelong low self esteem, depression, addiction, relationship breakdown and self harm.
Bereavement, divorce or redundancy can be very hard and I can support you to process grief and loss, including the sadness and challenges of infertility and pregnancy paths.
Anxieties, depression, sadness, anger, self-harm and low self-worth can result from feelings of hopelessness, stress or trauma from childhood, relationships or work. We can explore how to unpick the overwhelm and move forward.
I am experienced working with emotions surrounding domestic and workplace abuse and bullying, relationship conflicts and concerns, and eating difficulties. I will support you to find your way forward.
I work face-to-face in Watford or Tring, Hertfordshire, or online via Zoom. I am fully inclusive of all who need support including diversities of gender, sexuality, race, culture and religion.
If you think I may be the right counsellor for you, I offer a free short telephone conversation so we can get a feel for if we would like to work together.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
