About me

At Holt and Heart Counselling, I work with adults who may be facing feelings of anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship challenges, grief or major life changes. I offer a safe space to pause, reflect and be heard - a place to reconnect with your own strength, clarity, and sense of self.

Therapy can help you begin to gently turn back toward yourself, to begin trusting your own inner compass again, not by shutting others out, but by including yourself in the picture with the same care and importance you give to those around you.

When life feels overwhelming, therapy offers support and steadiness when little else can. It is a place to reconnect with yourself, to rediscover that you are the creator of your own story and to learn to trust your own voice. Therapy is tailored to you, giving you space to pause, reflect, and move forward with confidence.

I’m Jennie, a qualified Integrative Counsellor. Whatever your reason for coming to therapy, I provide a warm, empathetic space where you are met with understanding, validation and care. A space where you can be completely open, free from judgment, advice or expectation. Together, we can explore your feelings and help to release what's weighing you down.

I see clients both on-line and in Epsom and Banstead. Please enquire for specific availability.

My integrative training allows me to work flexibly, drawing on a wide range of therapeutic approaches such as relational, psychodynamic, existential and person-centred counselling. I may also integrate creative techniques like sand tray work and practical CBT tools, tailoring my approach to support each client individually.

I have previously volunteered with Sutton Uplift, a mental health and wellbeing service in Sutton. Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
