About me

A Safe Space for Your Journey Towards Healing.

Hello and welcome. My name is Jen, and I am an integrative therapeutic counsellor and trauma-informed therapist. I am passionate about supporting people as they navigate life’s challenges. My core approach is person-centred, working empathically and without judgment. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to create a holistic and flexible way of working, tailored to the individual needs of each client.

As a mixed-heritage adoptee, I have a personal understanding of some of the identity questions that can arise around adoption and racial identity. I'm a specialist trained Adoption Support Counsellor providing support not just to adults adoptees impacted by adoption but also to adoptive parents, birth parents and family members.   I also work with adults with lived experience of foster care.

When life events or relationships feel overwhelming, it’s natural to experience a loss of direction or purpose. I offer a supportive space where we can explore what you are going through together. This can help bring clarity during difficult times and support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your emotions. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

I offer online sessions regardless of location, as well as face-to-face sessions in Kent and South East London.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

What I Offer
A Safe and Confidential Space
Healing often begins when we feel truly heard and understood. Our sessions offer a confidential space where you can speak openly and honestly, without fear of judgment.

Empathy and Compassion
Life can feel heavy at times, and you do not have to carry these burdens alone. I offer a compassionate presence, listening carefully and supporting you as you navigate personal challenges.

Therapy Tailored to You
Every individual’s journey is unique. I work collaboratively with you to shape an approach that reflects your personal circumstances, values, and beliefs. Whether you are exploring past experiences, managing anxiety, or working through relationship concerns, we will develop a way forward that feels supportive and empowering.

A Journey of Reflection and Growth
Counselling is not only about addressing difficulties; it can also be a journey of deeper reflection and personal growth. Together, we can explore your inner world, helping you gain greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and how these connect with what matters most to you.
