About me
Hi I’m Kat, a recently qualified, BACP-registered counsellor.
I work in a way that prioritises trust, safety and genuine connection. By creating a calm, accepting space, we can explore patterns, challenges, overwhelm, or feelings of being stuck at your pace, allowing insights to surface naturally and supporting you in finding ways forward that truly fit your life.
I believe deeply that each person has the key to their own answers. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you - helping you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences so that your own solutions and coping strategies can gently emerge. Our work together is always individualised and shaped around you, your needs, and what feels right for you.
My core approach is humanistic, but I also integrate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Transactional Analysis where appropriate. This can be particularly helpful if you would like support that is forward-looking and focused on practical change. I offer both ongoing, open-ended counselling and shorter-term solution-focused work, depending on what you are looking for.
Originally from Eastern Europe, I moved to UK 30 years ago as a young adult, and lived in London for over 20 years before moving to Wales. Having worked majority of my life in fashion and beauty business, I have experienced first hand what it means to feel different, and have deep understanding of neurodivergence and gender identity issues. I have also spent 20 years in spiritual pursuits and have a broad working knowledge and understanding of multiple spiritual paths and difficulties and rewards that are connected with being on one.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
