About me
I support people experiencing a range of emotions, often those struggling with anxiety, overthinking, and low self-esteem, particularly where this links to people-pleasing or challenges in relationships. You might feel unsure of your needs, find it hard to express yourself, or have a sense that something just isn’t quite right.
I also work with grief and loss. This might be the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or a change in life that feels difficult to process. Grief can show up in many ways, sadness, numbness, anger, or even anxiety and it doesn’t always follow a clear path. I provide a space where you can process your loss at your own pace, without pressure or expectation.
I create a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out, especially if you’re used to coping on your own. You’re very welcome to get in touch, even if you’re unsure.
Together, we can begin to explore the patterns behind your thoughts and feelings, helping you to better understand yourself and why things feel the way they do. Through this process, you may start to feel calmer, more in control, and more able to make choices that feel right for you — building a more secure relationship with yourself and others.
I am a warm and empathetic counsellor who values building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I work alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion, supporting you to feel heard, understood, and not alone in what you’re facing.
How I work
I work in a way that is psychodynamic, which focuses on understanding the deeper roots of emotional distress. Together, we explore how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may be influencing how you feel and relate to others today.
Sessions provide a consistent and confidential space where you can speak freely and begin to understand what may be holding you back. Over time, this can support you in developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a stronger, more grounded sense of self.
I provide counselling for adults aged 18 and over. Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place at the same day and time each week, providing consistency and continuity.
I provide a free 20-minute introductory phone call, where you can ask any questions and get a feel for how I work — with no pressure to continue. If this sounds like something you’re looking for, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor, trained at The Counselling Foundation, working with adults on a one-to-one basis.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked supporting children, young people and adults with additional learning and physical needs in home and educational settings. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of family dynamics, the impact of early experiences, and the emotional pressures people often carry into adulthood.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
